We ran for Penny & Lyla, for every baby who deserves to count, and every grieving parent.

On 13 September, our team ran the Bridge to Brisbane for two little girls — Penny and Lyla.

We ran for all the precious babies gone too soon, and their parents. We ran because when they died, the care we got was patchy at best — and because right now, Australia doesn't even properly count how many babies like them we lose each year. No national data. No consistent numbers. If we can't count our babies, how do we know what we're fighting for?

Thank you to the incredible women who ran with us, to those who fundraised and donated, and to the businesses who sponsored us. The help of this community means we raised over $6,000, which is enough to fund 36 care boxes - that’s 36 families.

Every step of this run raises money for care and keepsake boxes that go straight into Canberra hospitals and clinics — so the next family who walks into that room and leaving without their baby, feels less alone.
